How big is the FlexFrame?
The Flippee® brand FlexFrame is roughly 6″ (h) x 4″ (w) x 5/8″ (t) or 149.1 mm x 100.2 mm x 14.8 mm. It weighs approximately 4.8 ounces (136g). Perfect for your desktop, narrow walls or small spaces. The Flexframe is the perfect complement to your valued cards and photos.
How many cards can fit in a FlexFrame?
The flippee magnetic holder holds up to 35 pt (.035″) of cards. Since most cards or photos are about .017″ thick, two photos or as many as two cards can be placed inside the magnetic holder back-to-back or however you prefer to orient them.
How can I protect my card in a FlexFrame?
The provided magnetic holder provides UV protection as well as limited protection against water and impacts. For best protection and/or more valuable cards, we recommend an additional sleeve within the magnetic holder.
Will my card fit in a FlexFrame?
Since 1957, card sizes have been standardized at 2.5″ x 3.5″. This is also true for wallet-sized photos. If you’re unsure, just measure your card or trim your photo to fit the magnetic holder. If your photo is in the ‘new’ wallet size (2″ x 3″), contact us below to get an insert like discussed in the last FAQ below. If you have a special, thicker card (like a jersey card, for example) you may need a thicker magnetic holder that will not fit in FleFrame. Do you sell FlexFrames in larger quantities?
We currently do not sell FlexFrames in a collectors pack, but are interested in doing so. If you are an individual, retailer or wholesaler interested in purchasing flippees in larger quantities (and with substantial discounts), please contact us using the retailer checkbox and let us know you’re interested.
What is FlexFrame made from?
FlexFrame is made from glass-filled nylon, a very hard and durable material. The magnetic holder is made from ultra-clear, acid-free polycarbonate, which provides natural UV and acid-free protection for your collectible.
Can I get a FlexFrame in a different color?
Sure! Let us know what color or colors you’re interested in and we can make a special batch for you, your team, or your special event (minimum order applies).
What magnetic holder types can I use?
FlexFrame works with most common magnetic holders, including those made by UltraPro®, BCW®, and most other 35 pt holders. Still not sure? try it in the frame!
How do I mount smaller cards in my FlexFrame?
Most smaller cards that will fit in FlexFrame need support to center the card in the magnetic holder. While you can simply cut down an index card or border sheet to do this, FlexFrame recommends using a thick matting paper, or 3D-printed insert that can be custom printed. For an example file, contact us and we’ll send you an insert for a 2″ x 3″ wallet size photo or a cigarette card.
NOTE: Some plastics, including PLA, put out an acidic gas that can damage metal in your frame. Therefore, we recommend ABS for all printed inserts.
